Ted G. Johnson, Ph.D.

 
Dr. Johnson is Director of Alternative Energy Program Development at Lockheed Martin Corporation. He is responsible for the development of carbon free renewable energy sources and systems leveraging technologies from across the corporation to address the nation's critical energy needs. Specific emphasis is being placed on Ocean Energy Systems, such as Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) and other Ocean sources of Energy to supply the nation's future electrical and fuel needs.. Dr. Johnson formerly was the Director of the heritage Lockheed Ocean Systems Division, whose energy programs included the development of the Lockheed Mini OTEC System, wave energy systems, hydrogen energy research, and fuel cell power systems. Prior to this, he was Director of Advanced Technology for the Honeywell Corporation, initially joining Honeywell as a research scientist at the Corporate Research Center. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Ocean Energy Council. Dr. Johnson received a Doctor of Science degree from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, where he also attended the Kellogg School of Management.
