Robbie Alm

 

Robbie Alm is Executive Vice President, Public Affairs for Hawaiian Electric Company.  He also is active in the community and serves as President of Helping Hands Hawaii; and is on the Boards of Hawaii Public Television Foundation, Hawaii Institute for Public Affairs, Bishop Museum, Community Links Hawaii, The Friends of Iolani Palace, Hawaii Nature Center and Sutter Health Pacific, among others.  Robbie teaches a graduate course on leadership in the Public Administration Program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  Prior to joining Hawaiian Electric, he was an Executive Vice President at First Hawaiian Bank, and Director of State Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs; and worked for U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye. 

He is a graduate of University High School, University of Hawaii (B.A.) and the University of Iowa School of Law (J.D.).  He and his wife Cindy (an attorney and mediator) have two daughters, Kristin and Rachel.
