Mark Brownstein
Mark Brownstein is Managing Director of Business Partnerships in the Climate and Air
Program of Environmental Defense. He specializes in energy and utility issues. Mark is one
of two Environmental Defense staff members facilitating the United States Climate Action
Partnership, a CEO-led collaborative of Fortune 500 companies and national environmental
organizations pushing for federal economy-wide, cap and trade climate legislation. Prior
to joining Environmental Defense, Mark was Director of Enterprise Strategy for Public Service
Enterprise Group (PSEG), where he worked with PSEG’s senior leadership in crafting and
implementing the corporation’s business strategy. Over his nearly ten year career with
PSEG, Mark served the company in a variety of environmental management roles, including Director of Environmental Strategy and Policy. Mark received a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1991, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vassar College in 1987.
