Gal Luft, Ph.D.
Dr. Gal Luft is executive director of the Institute for the Analysis of
Global Security (IAGS) a Washington based energy policy think tank and co-founder of the Set America Free Coalition, an alliance of national security, environmental, labor and religious groups promoting ways to reduce America's dependence on foreign oil. Newsweek Magazine called him a "tireless and independent advocate of energy security," New York times columnist Thomas Friedman called him "my mentor," the business magazine Poder referred to him as "one of the most recognizable figures in modern energy and security issues" and Esquire Magazine, which included him in its 2007 list of America's Best and Brightest, wrote: "What separates him from other energy specialists are his pragmatic solutions" for which "he is the most hated man in Riyadh, Detroit, and Des Moines."
